Percy Jackson a character of Wonders
As always, my mom and my dad(yes the people who encourage me to do everything) told me to reduce my screen time and instead read a book series and tell them what my favorite character is. I read a series called Percy Jackson and then when I was telling my parents my favorite character, it hit me. Why don’t I tell the world about it, so then I started writing a blog(this one). Before I start, let me make a summary on what Percy Jackson the series is all about. Percy Jackson is a regular kid with dyslexia and ADHD. One day he goes to a camp with his friend Grover. Now that camp is not some regular summer camp, it is a camp for half bloods. Percy Jackson finds out that most people at that camp are Half Bloods. Half-bloods are children of a god and human. His dad is one of the most rare parents in Poseidon. The god of the Sea. He meets another friend called Annabeth. She is the daughter of Athena. His friend Grover is a satyr. Satyrs are half human and half goat. The three of them go on adventures throughout all the books.
Ok let’s begin first of all you need to know who my favorite character actually is before we go through an exciting passage about the character. Well my favorite character is the main character like everyone is Percy Jackson. My first reason about why he is worthy of being a favorite character of lots of people including me is the way he is brave. In the actual book he is kinda shown as a scrawny little boy at first but throughout the book he has performed exemplary tasks that require a lot of bravery. I would say his type of bravery is only being brave at the right times. In the first book before he knows he has powers he defeats a minotaur. That is a giant bull headed human. Yeah I bet that sent shivers down your spine. Another thing that is remarkable about his bravery is the fact that he does not try to show off. Most superheroes that you see always show off their powers. He does not. Last but not least his bravery like I said is at the perfect time. An example is how he was brave when he stood up to Kronos the king of the titans and also the father of the three most powerful gods, Posideon, Zeus, Hades. It might be funny if you think you are standing up to your grandpa, the king of the titans. Let’s move on.
My other reason is that he is quite a team worker. When his friend Grover the Satyr couldn’t find something called Pan the force of nature and also a God, the counselors of the camp say he has to work a job. Grover doesn’t want to work a job so then the counselors give him one week. In that week Percy Jackson and his friend Annabeth all worked together to help Grover find Pan. Another reason is that when they are fighting in the third book called the Titan’s Curse Percy Jackson makes the campers team up with the hunters. The hunters are the followers of Artemis the God of wisdom(I think). To end the paragraph he also works with Nico De Angelo the son of Hades even though their parents hate each other.
My final reason is that he is hard working. I know he is hard working because in the book when he is tirelessly struggling to read he tries his best. He cannot read well because he is dyslexic. And in every one of the battles he did against the titans and the giants he was ready to work hard and maybe even die just so his camp can be safe.
